Many transactions and work carried out by the firm will entail fees charged on a time and attendance basis on an hourly rate. Those rates are specified for David as principal, for staff solicitors and may vary from time to time.
Particularly in regard to matrimonial matters and commercial matters an hourly rate would usually apply. We will always endeavour to give an estimate of fees at the start. The actual charge will depend upon what has to be carried out. Frequently that is difficult to be clear about at the start. A "ball park" estimate is usually provided so that the client has an impression as to what to expect.
In some situations the urgency or importance of the matter or the value of the transaction will lead to a charge which is over and above a standard hourly rate costing.
