The office of David J Brown & Associates was established in January 1988 in Titirangi village. Titirangi Village is the gateway to the Waitakere Ranges and the magnificent West Coast beaches for which Auckland is famous. Titirangi Village is nestled in a sub-tropical rainforest of magnificent native bush. Titirangi Village caters for the local community and far afield as its retail and serivces and cafes/restaurant attractions are a magnet for people all over Auckland.
We pride ourselves on providing competent, experienced advice and professional service for people and property.
We provide a wide variety of professional services including all aspects of conveyancing, many types of family transactions, advice and documentation for commercial transactions, administration of estates, trusts, Wills, financing.
The office currently consists of David as Principal, Andrew Jamieson and Seth Dalgleish as Staff Solicitors, Linda Brown (David's wife) office administrator and Katherine Coyle secretary/receptionist.

Principal: David Brown
|

|
David qualified B.A., LLB from Auckland University in 1971. David has practised as a Barrister & Solicitor since that time, first in law firms in Auckland City and then subsequently in Henderson in West Auckland where David was a partner of the firm of Elcoat, Elcoat and Brown from 1978 to 1987. It was during that time that David established the new firm of David J Brown and Associates in Titirangi Village,
David enjoys working with people to solve their problems and to achieve a good result eg. in the purchase of land and building of a new house, purchase of an established home, the sale of a home, resolving matrimonial matters on separation, estate planning with family trusts and Wills, assisting in the administration of an estate.
David has been active in the local Titirangi Village community. He was secretary of Titirangi Village project which in the early to mid 1990s obtained funding from Waitakere City Council for a comprehensive revitalisation of Titirangi Village leading to the creation of the vibrant commercial centre that Titirangi Village now is.
David has been a Rotarian since 1976 with the New Lynn Rotary Club and is currently Club President.. David has been active in local community organisations including Titirangi Tennis and Squash Racquets Club for which he is honorary solicitor having been on the executive of that club for many years. David is a past chairman of the Titirangi Presbyterian Church Board.
David is married to Linda and has two daughters - one who is also a solicitor and the other who is completing a degree.
David's interests include tennis, trout fishing, motor sport (spectator only!), golf, travel.

Solicitor: Andrew Jamieson, LLB

Andrew graduated from Victoria University in 1995, studied Mandarin in Beijing the following year, and was admitted to the Bar in 1997.
Since joining the firm in 2004 (after returning from overseas), Andrew has gained experience in conveyancing, including subdivision, and is now experienced in trusts, company formation, employment, relationship property, business sale and purchase, and commercial leasing.
Andrew enjoys, among other things, sailing and music (playing, singing and writing).

|
Linda and David have lived in Titirangi since 1971. Linda, previously a teacher of history and english, has been involved in a wide variety of community groups. She has also worked in Real Estate and as Electoral Agent for a local MP. She has been a JP since 1998 and is available at the office for this service.

Receptionist/Legal Secretary: Katherine Coyle
|
|
|
Katherine spent many years working in Banking, mostly in BNZ branches around West Auckland but also a year in Toowoomba, Queensland. She was receptionist in a local gym for five years and administrator for WAVES (Waitakere Anti-Violence Essential Services.
